Twitter ajudará a economizar caracteres encurtando links
Por: Raquel Camargo,UPDATE: o título desse post era “Links twittados não serão descontados nos 140 caracteres”, mas parecia haver uma falha de interpretação aí, então trocamos para esclarecer melhor o fato.
Para ficar bem claro: a novidade é que o Twitter irá diminuir todos os links a serem publicados, mesmo que você apenas cole uma URL gigante e por causa disso caracteres que seriam usados com o link enorme poderão ser aproveitados de outra forma.
Pensar e elaborar um texto que será completado com um link e fazer a mensagem sobreviver ao limite de 140 caracteres às vezes é um grande desafio. Para quem sofre com isso, os problemas podem estar perto de serem resolvidos.
Através do blog oficial do Twitter foi anunciado que os links twittados não mais irão interferir na contagem de caracteres como acontece até agora, pois serão reduzidos pelo próprio microblog ao publicar.
O vice presidente de comunicação da equipe, Sean Garrett, anunciou que os links que forem publicados no Twitter não serão mais mostrados explicitamente e ganharão uma versão reduzida automaticamente (começado com t.co) ou pelo título da página indicada. A ação pretende também garantir mais segurança para os usuários, evitando que links maliciosos sejam propagados.
Alguns usuários já tem por hábito usar manualmente (ou através de recursos automáticos de aplicativos, como o TweetDeck) encurtadores de URL para economizar caracteres, e para estes nada mudará.
Ainda não se sabe quando isso tudo entrará em prática, mas já ficou o recado da empresa aos desenvolvedores que dependem da API para atualizar seus serviços para os clientes.

Cara GAbi..Será uma pena vocês perderem a marca TwitterBrasil,mas na mesagem do Twitter não autoriza vocês usarem a marca. Somente comentam e encaminham ao Biz Stone e mais nada. Pode ir preparando alguns U$$$$ ou abrir mão da marca Twitter..
